Please may we remind you to download your child's Reception Learning Journal from Tapestry before we break up from school. Please use this window of opportunity to view all your child's learning before the accounts are deleted.
Many thanks,

Welcome Back to School! (March 2021)
We are all very excited to be back at school and have settled into our own classes beautifully. We have explored the areas, played with some new toys and resources and loved being back with our friends and teachers. Just have a look! We have added further pictures in our class photo folders below.
School Closure - Learning from Home
We are all saddened to hear about the latest government announcements with regards to schools closing, however, we want to assure you that as your child's teachers, we will be supporting you through the whole period. While this will be a difficult change for many of us, we know that it is in the best interest of our community's health and wellbeing.
We will update this webpage once a week with the home learning plan. All other updates, resources and videos will be posted on Tapestry (including the plan). Please log in to your Tapestry account each morning to 'like' our class good morning post to acknowledge you have seen it.
Information regarding our phonics scheme 'Read Write Inc.' will be available on this webpage and on Tapestry - please check them daily.
As a way of keeping in touch with you and your child throughout lockdown, we strongly encourage you to post photographs, videos and observations of your child so we can see them engaging in our weekly activities. These observations will become part of your child's learning journal. In the early years, quality play experiences are essentials to your child's development and the activities we have planned are designed to support this.
We are still your child's teacher and their education and wellbeing are of upmost importance to us, as it is to you as parents. We send our best wishes to you and your family - as we say at Springfield 'Together we are a Team!'
If you have any individual queries or questions regarding your child please continue to use the email address: reception@springfieldprimary.net specifying your child's name and class.
We will also attach some additional useful links and resources in the Home Learning section below.
Reception Christmas Recording
The Reception Christmas poem recording is now available to view in Tapestry. We hope you enjoy it! May we remind you to not share any images or footage from Tapestry on social media.
Springfield Reading Information Presentation
We have now uploaded an informative presentation about how we teach reading at Springfield on Tapestry. Please log in to your account to view it. This replaces the reading meeting that we would have normally held in school in the Autumn Term.
Dough Disco
To develop our fine motor skills the children have been taking part in Dough Disco sessions. Ask your children about it and maybe try at home. Please click on the music link below:
