Our School Games Journey
At Springfield Primary School, we are incredibly proud of our commitment to providing high-quality physical education, school sport and physical activity opportunities for all pupils.
Our dedication to promoting an active, inclusive and inspiring sporting culture has been recognised through the School Games Mark Platinum Award, which we have successfully achieved and maintained every year from 2022-23 to 2025-26.
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme that recognises schools for their engagement in competitive sport, physical activity, leadership opportunities and inclusive provision. Achieving Platinum status reflects the wide range of opportunities available to our pupils, including curriculum PE, intra-school competition, participation in local sporting events, leadership roles, active play initiatives and opportunities for all children to be physically active regardless of ability or background.
