Vacancy for Deputy Headteacher for September 2025

 

Following the retirement of our long-standing Deputy Headteacher, the Board of Governors of this innovative, forward thinking and successful school are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly motivated non-teaching Deputy Headteacher to lead a staff team that is committed to the best educational standards and the needs of our children, supported by a proactive Board of Governors.

Tours of school: 25 February, 27 February and 4 March 2025

Shortlisting: 10 and 11 March 2025

Interview dates: 18 and 19 March 2025

  • Please read the application pack carefully. This pack contains the Deputy Headteacher competencies and criteria we are looking for, alongside the expected duties.
  • Complete the application form and supporting documents; CVs will not be accepted. Applicants are required to include a brief covering letter outlining their reasons for wanting to be appointed as the Deputy Haedteacher at Springfield Primary School and why now? Without these documents, we may be unable to process your application.

SHORTLISTING

Once we have received your application you will be notified via email.

Successful candidates who have been shortlisted for interview will be contacted shortly after the closing date.

Candidates must ensure that if they are successful at interview, that they are able to provide evidence of their Right to Work and Remain in the UK. The school is not able to employ any person who cannot validate their Right to Work and Remain in the UK in line with the Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Act 2000.

 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES

Successful candidates will be required to apply for an enhanced Criminal Record Check via the DBS.
