Free School Meals (FSM) funding refers to the government allocated money given to schools to provide a free daily hot or cold nutritious and balanced meal that supports healthy growth, wellbeing and concentration.
What is Pupil Premium Funding and how can my child receive it?
The Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to state-funded schools in England. Its primary aim is to improve educational outcomes and raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils to help close the achievement gap between them and their more affluent peers.
The school the child is attending will automatically get a pupil premium amount if the child is eligible for free school meals.
Schools receive the grant based on the number of qualifying pupils enrolled. Eligible children include:
