Apply for Free School Meals 

Who can apply?

You should apply if you receive any benefits, such as:

• Universal Credit
• Employment & Support Allowance
• Pension Credit

👉 Important:
From September 2026, all families on Universal Credit will qualify for free school meals.

Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 children receive free school meals.

✅ But still apply if you receive any benefits → This gives extra funding to the school.  Even if your child will be having packed lunches apply.

When you apply for Free School Meals the school may also be eligible for Pupil Premium Funding for your child.

Why this is important

This money is used to support your child with:

• Extra learning help
• Resources
• Wellbeing and confidence

This can add up to an extra £1,345 per child each year.

EARLY YEARS PUPIL PREMIUM - Is your child in Nursery? Are you in receipt of any benefits?

• If your child is aged 3 or 4 attends our nursery and fits the eligibility requirements below school can receive additional funding to support your child.​  Click on the link below for eligibility criteria or contact school and we can check your eligibility, we just need a few details to complete the quick check. 

• With this funding school can provide staff training, financial support for families, additional resources and at times additional staff.
