SWAN Club

SWAN Club –Springfield Well-Being At Noon

A Calm, Supportive Lunchtime Space

SWAN Club is a small, nurturing lunchtime group designed for children who may benefit from a quieter, more supported environment during the school day. It offers a calm, friendly space where children can relax, build confidence, and enjoy positive social experiences.

In SWAN Club, children can:

  • Spend time in a quiet, calm environment
  • Take part in small‑group social activities
  • Talk, reflect, and share their thoughts
  • Play games and try new activities
  • Build friendships and develop communication skills
  • Have fun in a safe, supported space

SWAN Club can look different for each child, depending on their individual needs.

Our wonderful practitioner, Mrs Carroll, leads the club with care, kindness, and a deep understanding of the children she supports. She works closely with class teachers, teaching assistants, and the Inclusion Team to make sure each child receives opportunities and activities that help them thrive.

Because SWAN Club offers structured and personalised support, places are limited. Children may be referred by their class teacher or considered following a request from parents or guardians.

If you have any questions or think your child may benefit from SWAN Club, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Pupil Voice from SWAN

Really calm and good for people who don’t like big noise of playground. I like that because I hear a lot of noise at home because of my brother if someone has a worry, they can talk to Mrs Carroll.

Really fun, variety of different things to do.

Makes me feel happy.

Making new friends.

I can relax.

I think it’s really good because you can do fun stuff.

I think it’s good to help my handwriting. I think it’s worked because my handwriting has got better.

It’s nice and calm. It’s good because outside is crowded and it’s not in here, I feel happy.

Lovely to sit in the pod.

I like Swan because it’s quieter.

Mrs Carroll is very kind.

I’m with my friends and Mrs. Carroll.
