PE
This half term we have started PE with Mr Read. We have lots of fun being physical - jumping, hopping, skipping, controlling a ball and we learn new skills.
Christmas is coming!
As part of our school Christmas fair day, nursery took part in their own Christmas activities.
Creative Area.
This week we have introduced the Creative Area in nursery. We demonstrated how to use the Creative Area and let the children explore it themselves. The children really enjoyed making their own collage out of a variety of materials and glue. We are looking forward to seeing the children’s amazing creative creations!
Wooden Bricks!
This week we have opened the wooden bricks!! The children learnt how to use them, looked carefully at the different shapes and talked about what they could make with them. The children enjoyed working together to make different creations for the cars, dinosaurs and animals.
Fireworks!
The children have enjoyed taking part in a variety of firework activities this week linking to Bonfire Night.
Outdoor Fun!
The children enjoy playing outside in our Nursery Garden!
Happy Diwali!
The children enjoyed celebrating Diwali in Nursery!
Autumn Is Here!
The children have been looking at the world changing around them. They have been searching for signs of Autumn. The children have enjoyed learning about Autumn and exploring the world around them. They had fun using the magnifying glasses and learnt how to print using corks and paint! They even investigated outside rolling conkers down pipes!
Meet Ollie The Owl!
We have introduced Ollie Owl into Nursery! Ollie the Owl helps the children to remember the nursery rules of being kind to our friends, looking after our toys, listening to others and walking in Nursery. He sits in his nest, in a tree in Nursery. If we are lucky Ollie sometimes comes down to see us and gives us cuddles! The children enjoyed making a collage owl for Ollie by tearing and sticking tissue paper. We also read Owl Babies and used owl puppets to retell the story.
We have had a great time welcoming our new children into Nursery. We are looking forward to meeting the rest of our new friends next week!
Welcome!
We hope you enjoy listening to our songs and stories. We are looking forward to seeing you very soon in Nursery.
