Nursery

Christmas Time!

During December, we had lots of opportunities to participate in new events as a group whilst counting down to Christmas. Working together is an important part of being in Nursery and the children have been absolutely fabulous.

The children practised and performed their Christmas songs in front of a large audience of parents and loved every minute of it!

We visited the Waterside Theatre to see The Bear performance to see amazing puppetry.

Our Christmas Fair and parties were very exciting as we tried new games, danced with friends and had fun with craft activities. We also took part in the Santa’s Dash with Santa’s hats on. We celebrated with hot chocolate and a gingerbread man after!

Everyone is ready for a good rest over the holidays and we look forward to our new experiences in 2025.

Thank you very much for your kind words, cards and gifts.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

November Round Up!

What a busy month we have had in nursery! We had our successful Rhyme Challenge, Children In Need Day, Odd Socks Day, a fantastic stay and play and amongst all that we have had lots of fun and learnt so much. We also opened the wooden block area and have created amazing models.

Fireworks!

Our first week back after the October holidays started with looking at fireworks! We watched a video of a firework display, talked about the sounds fireworks make and the colours we could see in the night sky. We also learnt a new word - 'multi-coloured!' Throughout the week we took part in a variety of activities using chalk, fluorescent paint and printing to create our own firework art.

PE and Music!

We are very lucky in Nursery to have Mrs Curzon and Mr Boardman visit us each week for music and Mr Brown on a Friday for PE. We love singing during Music and moving our bodies in PE and in our outdoor area.

Settling in together!

We have had a great few weeks together in Nursery, meeting new friends and settling into the daily routine. The children have done so well and are very excited about the play and experiences on offer. Last week, we have started thinking about ourselves and how we might be the same or different to other people around us. This week we have talked about the signs of Autumn. Lots of noticing and talking helps us to learn and build our skills as we play!

Our first few days in Nursery....

We have had a great time this week welcoming our new children into Nursery. We are looking forward to meeting the rest of our new friends next week!
