November is Cut Your Carbon month. Please could your child and their family complete as many of the following challenges as possible to help Springfield reduce as much carbon emissions as possible and help save the planet. Thank you so much for you support with this fantastic initiative.
Maths Homework - Due 14.11.25
This week for homework we would like all of Year 5 to work on their times tables. We have given the children the tables grid attached below. One side is to be completed and timed at the beginning of the week. Then, use the web address below to practise your timetables for 10 minutes each day. Then, at the end of the week, please complete the grid on the other side (again timed) to see how much you have improved.

There is no homework set for over the holidays. However, please do still read at least 3 times over the week and practise your times tables as we will be covering Multiplication and Division in Maths after the break.

This week children have designed Anglo-Saxon Homes, which will form an Anglo-Saxon village.
The children have a list of things they will need to make their homes written in their homework diary.
We have focused on using natural resources from their own gardens and local, outdoor spaces- please see the images below for some extra inspiration.
