Homework 31.03.23

Please encourage your child to read, use Lexia and practise TTR over the break.

Have a lovely, relaxing Easter holiday!

X Table practice - Y4

Please note - In order to help prepare the children for the Government mandated timestable check on the 5th of June, we are now asking for every child to go on TTRockstars for 20 minutes each week in addition to any other homework. We are aware that some children find TTRockstars and the timed conditions a challenge, however the way that it is conducted mirrors the timestable check. This therefore helps prepare your child for the check in June. If you have any questions about this, please speak to your class teacher.

Thank you for your support,

The Y4 Teachers

Homework 9th September

Create a short presentation for your chosen ambassador role. You will talk to the class for a minute or so about why you would be suitable for an ambassador role. Please do not apply for a role you have been given before in previous year groups. The roles are Voice, Eco, Flash, Online Safety, Spanish and Science.

Optional Homework (that will really help with your Science). Look at the fun website link below about digestion:

Keep up the great reading too! At least 3x a week and recorded in your reading diaries with your pages you have read. Don't forget to get your parent/carer to sign it during the week. Your teacher will check the diaries each Friday and be looking to see all your brilliant reading.

Well done to everyone on a wonderful first week in Year 4! You all have been fantastic!

A note about Lexia

This year, it has been decided by the school that not all children in Year 4 will be required to conduct Lexia at home. Your child will only be required to continue to use Lexia at home if they have a slip stuck in their Homework Diary. If your child has not received this slip, then please can they continue to practise their reading and comprehension skills by reading at least 3 times a week at home. Thanks you for your continued support.
