On Friday, Miss Stalder came in and organised some gymnastics activities for us as part of Mrs Houston’s “Experience the Olympics” event. She even brought some real Olympic medals that her grandfather won for gymnastics for Switzerland back in the 1940s and 1950s. A move was even named after him. The children really enjoyed our session!
We had a great time putting all our final skills to the test: making popcorn, playing team games, exploring the mud kitchen and the new gazebo.
The class have been celebrating books all week by sharing their favourite stories. We have been making world book day bunting, decorating our own bookmarks and creating our own book covers. We ended the day with a “Mystery reader”. Mrs Houston came from Year 1 to share her favourite book, “Whatever next.”
