Special Educational Needs and Disability

 

At Springfield Primary School we believe that every child is unique; every child has their own strengths, skills and talents, whether that is academic achievement, sporting prowess or artistically creative.  We are a fully inclusive school where our children receive Inclusive Quality First Teaching (IQFT) through a broad and balanced academic curriculum which is differentiated to meet the individual needs of the children.

As SEND is such a vast subject, duplicates of services may occur under different needs. This is to make sure that no matter which path is taken, the right support can always be found. STEP 'Stronger Together Empowering Parents' STEP are a support service within Advocating Together. We provide peer to peer emotional and practical support and advice for parent/carers of children and young people with SEND. We have a team of Co-ordinators as well as a number of trained volunteers who can offer their knowledge and lived experience through peer to peer support.
