Maths

Week beginning Monday 30th March 2020.

1) TT Rockstars.

You have been set the 8 x tables to practice for this and next week too!

We have also set up a 'Battle of the Bands'.  This is a Times table challenge between class groups! Good luck everyone!

2) I Can Do Maths.

Complete Section 3 Test 3.

At the end of this week, ask an adult to check your answers.  Maybe you can teach them how you worked some of the questions out.

3) This week's learning objectives.

Target 16 -  I can count up and down in tenths; recognise that tenths arise from dividing an object into 10 equal parts and

in dividing one-digit numbers or quantities by 10

Target 17 - I can recognise, find and write fractions of a discrete set of objects, unit fractions (e.g. 1/3 and 1/5) and non-unit fractions (e.g.2/3 and 4/5) with small denominators.

Go to the White Rose Maths website above.  Go to Week 2 and work through each daily lesson and the activity that goes with each.  Once you have completed each activity, you can check your answers with an adult.

4) Fancy a challenge?

Have a go at the problems on the ppt below.  The answers are on the ppt too but no peeping until you've had a go!  Maybe you could explain to an adult how you would work each one out?
