Practical Activities
This maths topic is great as it can be linked to the home very easily.
1. Baking again!! Complete one of these worksheets (they are in order of difficulty) and share different toppings on cupcakes. Draw and colour them first and then bake them, sharing different toppings EQUALLY on each cake. Try to record this on the worksheet in different ways - see below.
The Doorbell Rang
Listen to the story read by Mrs Newell below and complete the activity below.
Again, if you want, bake some cookies and share them out within your family.
Other suggestions for practical maths are:
Sorting socks into pairs, sharing out the knives and forks when setting the table, sharing food at mealtimes (sausages, potatoes etc).
