STAR Club (Springfield Taking An Active Role) is our wrap around care, catering for breakfast club before school, an after school club and a holiday club. In a morning the STAR Breakfast Club opens at 7:30am and runs until school starts at 8:50am, when children are taken directly to their class room. After school STAR Club runs from 3:20pm until 6:00pm. Children are taken directly from their class room to STAR Club until their parents are ready to collect them.

If my child is at STAR Club, where do I drop them off / collect them?

Children at STAR Club should be dropped off and collected via the library door. The library door is located next to our Nursery. This can be accessed by the Nursery / Reception play ground entrance which is the smaller gate at the end of school closest to the town hall, opposite NatWest.

If my child is at an after school club, where do I collect them from?

Children attending after school clubs should be collected from the main entrance by the office, unless otherwise stated (such as Cross Country Club). Parents / Carers collecting should wait in the waiting area in front of school, not in the car park.

What if my child is at an after school club and STAR Club?

Children attending an after school club will be taken directly to STAR Club. Parents need not change their arrangements and collect children from STAR Club at the time they would usually.

What after school clubs can my child attend?

Springfield offers a wide range of after school activities for children in Reception - Y6. A letter detailing all of the clubs available for each half term is given out to every child and copies are available at the school office.

How do I know if my child's club is on or not?

Dates and times of when clubs are on are communicated to parents and children. They will only be cancelled in extreme weather or if the member of staff is absent. This will be communicated to parents of children attending the club by text message.
